I ALWAYS agonize over what I’m going to wear for the first day of anything- I think it all boils down to feeling comfortable.
Are you going to have to change your clothes a lot during the day (do you go to a theatre/dance school?) ? If so, I’d suggest a fun dress and some boots to make things easier.
Although, in order to truly answer your question, I might need a little more info about your basic style and what you’re into.
