alymixedup asked: congratulations on your part! i saw chicago a few years ago in the city, but i'm definitely going to see it again sometime soon. it's one of my all-time favorite musicals.i lived in nyc for the summer (in greenwich village) and i miss it more than anything. i'm sort of an aspiring actress, but mainly in community theater at home. the theater world just seems ridiculously competitive, so i have a huge amount of admiration for anyone that succeeds in it :)

I love the Village so much, it’s one of my very favorite neighborhoods. I can see why you miss it!

I’m glad you’re able to pursue your dreams- it is incredibly difficult to find your way in the theatre world, but it is such a wonderful, loving, supportive community of people, you somehow make your way. I certainly struggled for years and years (and am still fighting to be noticed sometimes), working restaurant jobs and going to open call after open call after open call- the fight becomes worth it when you remember what you’re fighting for.
